Miriam turned over to look at Augustine after a very long intimate session. She was breathless but had a very good time.

“honey…” she said.

“yes baby..”

“I want a new car” Miriam said

Augustine smiled as his eyes slowly closed. He was exhausted.

Miriam noticed that eh still needed to rest and she dragged out of bed to go and prepare some food in the kitchen. it was past midnight. Eating that late and then watching a movie in this luxurious living room seemed like it was an interesting habit which she would continue. That night, Camilla had slept so deeply and she was happy that she could catch up on her favorite series without any disturbances.

Miriam fell asleep on the couch and Augustine lifted her around 2am to take her to bed before covering her up. He then went to the spare bedroom and dialed June’s line.

“hai baby…” he said.

June was surprised that he sounded totally different now.

‘hai…” she responded.

“I was really tired and sleepy when you called now I have lost my sleep… I miss you so much baby” he said.

“here talk to your daughter… we are having tea and cake while cuddled up on the couch. It is very interesting..” she replied

“no baby wait first before you hang up…”

“hai daddy..’ Kabwe greeted with joy.

“oh my angel… how are you?” he asked.

“I am fine and I really wish you had come but I know you have work… I miss you so much daddy” she said.

“oh.. I miss you too but I know you happy to have your mommy over.. I will see what I can do.. I might come and pick your mum up and then maybe we can see other.. I love you baby” he said.

Kabwe smiled before handing the phone over to her mother.

“Yes Mr Mwape” she said as she slowly the couch and went to her room.

“I am in the bedroom alone now… how are you honey? I miss you so much” he said.

“I wish you knew how much I miss you… its not even a joke” she said.

‘I miss you so much baby… it is not the same without you… I have so many plans for us when you get back… I know this will build our love more… I want to look at it from the positive side” he said.

“I am looking at it from the positive side too… being part only builds the love… it never destroys it.. We are blessed to have eachh other” she said.

Augustine talked to his wife calmly until the door swung open. Miriam was awake and she watched him talk.

“my love.. I will just go to bed now. it’s still very early here. I will call you when I am at the office he said.

“thank you honey.. and be safe. We love you very much. You kids love you a lot” she said.

Augustine got up and he held Miriam by the hand.

“why are you awake so early…” he said.

“I could notice that my man was not on the bed with me” she said

Augustine smiled and they headed to the room where they shared an intimate moment before falling asleep.

June was happy and holding on to those fond memories of their call as she watched television with her children. There’s something about being away from your partner that just lights up the love even more. June felt like a teenager in love again and she was looking forward to more good things that life could throw at her as Mrs Mwape. Now more than ever she felt so blessed to be married to Augustine. He had worked so hard for them that he could even afford them expensive vacations and trips. June knew not to take that for granted and she was happy that he was a good father to her kids as well… with all this in mind… nothing in the past stood a chance to ruin her happiness not even the thought of Miriam. She was content that Augustine was worth everything, the fight she put up for their marriage and even more.

Mrs Mwape took pictures of her vacation as well as talked of how blessed she was to have Augustine as her husband. Many people on her social media liked the post and congratulated her for such a successful marriage. Even Miriam saw the post but ignored with envy as she proved a point by being more intimate with Augustine. They did not discuss the Facebook post.
