LIKE FINE WINE 3

Enesie looked at herself one last time but Thoko hooted again for the hundredth time and she rushed out her apartment. There was not much time to decide which perfume she wanted to wear between Fantasy and Hypnotic Poison. She grabbed both bottles with her purse and shoes and ran out like a mad woman kicking things along the way.

“Should I prepare supper?” Her maid screamed

“For yourself only and please for the love of god lock up early…” Enesie said before picking up speed to meet a very impatient Thoko.

It was Thoko's idea to drive because she was a better driver at night even after sipping on some alcohol and she could easily leave when she wanted to, seeing that Enesie liked to prolong partying Thoko was taking control.

“Well Helo madam.. 30minutes later.. you had me retouching my makeup” Thoko  said

Enesie dumped her stuff on the seat while she stood outside trying to put on her shoes

“Well I don’t have my shoes on and I can’t decide which perfu…”

“ the poison” Thoko interrupted.

“Why? I was thinking fantasy”

Thoko lifted her perfume bottom

“Oh.. wouldn’t be bad to smell alike” Enesie teased

“Do not even dare”

“Well only because I don’t want your date mistaking me for you when he is drunk.. anyway.. how do I look?”

“Well you look amazing now hop in or I leave without you”

Thoko looked pretty in a pink suit consisting of shorts which hugged her very special features coupled with a white top and pink jacket to finish the suit  She changed her wig to something short and curly in Peruvian style. Her makeup was glamourous with a smokey eye and a nice lip. Her feet were wrapped in white block Bottega heals and a matching Bottegbotto. Meanwhile Enesie had on a peach bandage dress paired with a white jacket and glass stilettos. The girls looked the part and of course if money could speak it sure did speak for itself.

“So I’m guessing we are not passing through anywhere to get some drinks”

“Well it’s a club, I presume they have drinks” Thoko said starting the engine.

“For the road” Enesie insisted.

“Ok, I believe we can get something by the fueling station”

Thoko turned on music and the ladies immediately started singing out loud. Enedies maid peeped from the window as the car left, she was always amused by her boss's lifestyle. Better by Khalid was playing and the beat took the ladies as they sung along.

The party had just started getting hyped up, it was 9pm and Elisha kept looking around just to see if Thoko was going to show up, for whatever reason, he was so excited about a girl in ages that he pictured what outings would look like and more. However, he hardly knew anything about her and was hoping the party would be the best place to start. Seated by the club counter which overlooked the massive outdoors were the part was hosted, Elisha thought of what the next chapter would be like. The birthday boy was clad in a long sleeved black Dior shirt which he paired with a denim trousers, gold chain round his neck and a gold Rolex on his wrist. In true fine taste, Elisha completed his look with black Dior sneakers. He was led back yet still looked as handsome as always. The DJ had already started playing party songs but the birthday boy was far from getting to party mood.

“Man.. she will come” Jeremy assured.

Jeremy was Elisha’s best friend and also the godfather to Elisha’s daughter Emily. Elisha had told Jeremy about Thoko and the sparkle in her eye, how he couldn’t get her off his mind from the moment he saw her. Elisha was pretty close with Jeremy’s family and he had been there for all of Jeremy’s kids birthdays. He was looking forward to be part of little Amaya’s first birthday in just a few weeks. She was Jeremy’s fourth and like he said, his last baby.

“anyway, ladies are always late you’re right. I’m liking this place actually” Elisha said before taking a shot from his tequila

“I don’t think that’s a good idea.. why not a lager or something.. we don’t want the birthday boy wasted”

“you’re right..” he said sliding the glass away from him.

A few colleagues had come through and soon enough cousins and other siblings were showing up. Elisha was not only a privileged child growing up but also privileged that his father was minister in advanced age.

“And about the place, told you that you would love it man… sorry I disappointed you on the cruise… we just needed to plan well enough”

Jeremy made reference to the cruise as the party was initially supposed to be in siavonga on the lake and they were to be on a cruise ship for 24hrs to celebrate his birthday. However, Jeremy was in charge of planning and he unfortunately did not book early enough.

Elisha’s eyes suddenly switched focus to something that seemed to have intrigued him, Jeremy looked on and noticed two good looking ladies walking in. The ladies soon found a spot by the lawn overlooking the beautiful greenery in the outdoors

“Is she one of them?” Jeremy asked

Elisha nodded.

“Wow.. I understand you now man..  I understand you”
