Thandi did not have the slightest clue that Christian was planning on another place after they left the karaoke place, she imagined they would be back at the hotel and he would be dropping her but he instead told her he had another nice place he wanted to show her. It was an Italian restaurant with the best pasta, Thandi had mentioned earlier that she had not had much pasta on this visit and she was craving for some pasta. Christian was very attentive and he pulled up at a very luxurious restaurant overlooking a beach, she was so blown away that she pulled out her phone and begun taking pictures and completely forgetting about eating.

“Are we going to eat?” Christian asked with a chuckle as Thandi took more shots on her phone.

“Yes... we will... I mean... one more photo” she said posing for a selfie.

Christian giggled before signalling to the waiter to send a chef over. Thandi had just put her phone down when she noticed Isaac coming up to their table in a chef’s uniform, immediately, Christian explained

‘what makes the restaurant special is that a chef comes up to you and takes your order... he explains everything to you and how he will make it special just for you.. It is actually a family owned restaurant and everybody cooking and serving here is related in one way or another... it’s so intimate and they prepare the best traditional Italian food you can think of”

Thandi was not listening, her heart was racing. Here was Isaac, he was still her crush but she was upset seeing him and knowing he had completely ghosted her after how many plans they had made together. Christian noticed something was strange but he greeted the chef before asking Thandi if she was okay. While Thandi was still trying to figure out what to say, June was in the kitchen getting ready to bring the starters to the table to accompanying Isaac who she seemed to have shared a great connection with. Because June wanted to spend more time with Isaac, the two had earlier agreed to work together that night then they would later go over at his house.  Isaac composed himself and greeted the couple politely.

“Good evening sir and madam... how are you?”

Thandi smiled and responded “it is going well...”

Christian explained that he wanted their choicest traditional pasta for his date as he was trying hard to impress her. Isaac quickly begun to explain what was on the menu and June arrived with two mini baskets that had savoury biscotti for the couple’s starter. Thandi seemed a little confused but Christian passed a joke stating that they must have been making a lot of money seeing that their human resource was growing.

“oh she is my lovely lady and she is helping out today”

June boldly looked Thandi in the eyes with a slight grin, it suddenly hit Thandi, she had trusted June way too much.
