CHAPTER 18

“Baby what is it?, is there a problem?” Jeff asked wonderingly.

I sighed heavily as I tried to gather myself together, I could feel my heart racing I was so furious. I needed a proper explanation as to why Jeff would take me for a fool. I knew I needed to be calm but honestly at that point I could care less how this all came out. I took another deep sigh as I convinced myself that I could not yell or I would make things go out of control.

“Pumulo.. is everything okay?”

I calmly began to narrate the entire ordeal with his sister.

“Tell me in the name of whatever you believe in why your sister would suggest to pay me off to terminate my pregnancy?” 

Jeff’s eyes popped out in shock. 

“Wait what?

“Your sister wants me to terminate my pregnancy tomorrow, she is willing to pay me any amount of money provided I terminate the pregnancy and go as far away as possible” I said.

Jeff suddenly had a not so surprised look on his face as he shook his head, he had a slight grin on his face indicating he was not surprised his sister would do such a thing.

“Oh and before I forget… Mosha is pregnant and she is the acceptable one and oh… you have also been sleeping with Connie… Jeff…” I said helplessly in shock.

Jeff burst out laughing and held my hand but I rudely pulled away.

“So honey, let me get this straight… you actually believed everything she told you? Let me skip all that and talk about the last thing you said… sleeping with Connie? Me? oh you know I would never”

“Well I am not so sure about that” I said

“Baby.. really??” 

“Jeff… don’t even call me baby, for starters that baby thing annoys me because you have made little to no effort to actually honor me as your woman, you use all these words that amount to nothing really. Can you at least be man enough and decide what you want? It’s been over a month since you discovered that I am carrying your children.. the fact that I even have to ask you to give me a title is is humiliating… what am I to you? Well look, as a matter of fact forget about the title… at least just ensure your children and I okay… where we are going to be… I obviously did not fit into your perfect world but please for the sake of my children allow me to not stress about rent and every other thing until I am able to work well… I know after this I have no place in Cloud Investments.. I just want to get on my feet right away… take care of us please… I promise as soon as I get myself together I will look for a job and start paying my own rent” I said.

Jeff was shocked and he shook his head.

“Baby can you even listen to yourself? Pumulo you have said so many things in such a short space of time that it’s hard to even put my head on what you want exactly… but I know all this is coming from a place of fear… don’t worry I will sort my sister out”

I was furious and emotional

“Jeff I said settle me, let me go and raise these children in a place where your sister will not be able to harm me or my babies. Whether or not you will take care of them is not my problem, I am just begging you to get me an apartment for now so that I can go.. please” 

“Calm down… I know exactly what to do… I am really shocked my sister has not changed  one bit… and if you want to know what I mean well I mean my sister has always been so protective over me, she has literally controlled me but I thought all was going well now… anyway that aside.. go home and pack your bags.. You are relocating to Cape town”

I was startled at what he said that I nearly fell from my seat.

“Cape town?” I asked in shock”
