RENTED LIFE CHAPTER 19

Aaliyah left class and sat in the car, she didn’t want to deal with pupils anymore. Her heart was still heavy. Maybe this pain could go away when she finally had another heart to heart talk with Simon. Gathering strength and thinking of every worst case scenario, Aaliyah got her phone and dialed Simons line. Surprisingly, he picked up on the first ring and he seemed eager to talk.

“where are you Aaliyah?” he asked.

“is everything okay with you?” she asked

“I need to see you, where are you?” he asked.

Simon had been home sipping on a glass of whisky, hearing from Aaliyah felt like a relief. Although he did not love her, Aaliyah had a way of always listening to him pour his heart out whenever he had issues. At this point he just needed someone to confide in because it felt like he was losing his mind. There was not much that he could do than drown in his sorrows but he knew better than that.

“I just parked at school in my car, do you want to talk?” she asked.

Aaliya knew him too well and she knew he loved to be vulnerable with her, this always confused her into believing that they had something going on and it would maybe last.

“Can you drive to Sarovar? I will meet you there” he said.

“Should I get a room?” she asked.

Simon sighed heavily.

“No I just want to talk” he said.

“okay, I will be there” she said.

Aaliyah did not hesitate to step on her accelerator and rushed home to have a quick shower. Although Simon had clearly stated that he just wanted to talk, Aaliyah knew plans could change at any time so she chose to carry everything that she needed.

Kuni was laying on her bed, she had an episode of mourning and crying to God about what had been happening with her family. She had managed to talk to both her parents who assured her all would be well but she also assured them that she would be reporting for her new job on Monday and so she would share her settling allowance with them to keep them going. Aaliyah hurried into the house as Kuni was trying to prepare some food, she had not eaten a thing since morning and he was now getting dizzy. She had just showered and was in her bathrobe.

“Hey” Aaliyah greeted as she hurried past the kitchen.

“Hey… are you okay?” Kuni asked rushing behind her.

Aaliyah got to her room and began undressing hurriedly while throwing her clothes on the floor.

“Yes, I am okay... I am just rushing for a drink with a friend and I will be late or maybe …” Aaliyah posed.

“Okay I mean ... I will communicate let me just shower” she said hurrying to her master bathroom.

Kuni was a little surprised but she walked to the kitchen to continue preparing her meal. Aaliyah was not long in the shower and Kuni could hear soon calling out to her.

“Yes Aaliyah...” Kuni said standing before by her bedroom door.

Aaliyah was moisturizing her legs with what looked like a very expensive oil while her dress remained pulled up. The zip on her back was still open. Kuni looked at the mess in her room suddenly it was clear this meet up must have been very special because Aaliyah was so clean and very particular. 

“Kuni please help with my zip” she said giving Kuni her back.

As Kuni pulled her zip up her mind went into imagination, she had not made an effort to reach Simon and it was only fair that she made an effort as well.
