RENTED LIFE CHAPTER 20

Simon pulled over at sarovar and just before he alight from his car Kuni started calling. Meanwhile, Aaliyah had just left home with a a bug bag making Kuni wonder if she was coming back that night. Simon sighed, he had no idea what to say to her because he had clearly been too quiet. It seem right to pick her call at the time and so he left her a message explaining that he would return her call as he had a very busy evening.

Kuni did not make much of it and she went to have her dinner while tuned into Netflix. Something about this evening seemed very quiet and cold, not the usual way that she would feel. It was clear what happened with her family bothered her but she was keeping the faith that the amount of money she was going to get from her settling allowance would at least help to ease her parents worries for a moment. However, building a house was something she could not imagine.

As usual, the beautiful hotel was calm and had the perfect aesthetics, Kuni could not wait to dine with the one man who she had developed a strong soft for. The butler ushered her in with a warm greetings while she smiled and responded affirmatively. Simon was obviously by his usual spot near the pool area. Aaliyah was looking elegant in a red figure hugging bandage dres which she pairaed with a black heel and red bottom. Her scent for the night was midnight posion. She smelt so good and looked so well put together. Simon on the other hand looked more relaxed in sweat pants and a golf tshirt. As she walked closer to him, her heart felt well rested. She clearly loved this amn and something about being in his presence just the two of tehm felt like the world would come to a stop

“Hey” he said getting up to give her a light hug

“How are you?” he asked

“ well I am fine, how are you?” she asked.

“I am fine, well.. I am stressed” he said.

The two sat right opposite each other. Kuni was smart enough to leave her hand bag in her car to not seem to forward and too desperate to be spending a night.

“I could tell, you did not seem fine at all, I figured something was wrong. Is it work?” she asked.

“Yes, what would you like to have first of all?” he asked.

“I will have a glass of wine and I think some meat... and creamy mash”

Simon smiled as he knew that’s exactly what she would settle for.

“I know you so well…” he giggled.

“Yeahdjh sw2|
, I love myself some meat io can not help it”

“I know... and you look good...” he added

There was a little silence as they waited for the waiter that Simon had signaled to, Aaliyah badly wanted to say something but she was trying to avoid being too forward. It was evident that there was a lot on Simon’s mind and when that happens, Simon would hold the conversation and Aaliyah would come in to advise. The cool breeze made perfect setting for what could make the best night, it had been a while since Aaliyah felt Simons body next to her. She longed for that so much that she was becoming jealous of his make-believe relationship. At some point it was becoming hard to understand whether or not this was real or all just part of the plan.

“I have had a hard time late Aaliyah…” Simon said before leaning back in his seat.

“I can tell… I know you and I can tell…” Aaliyah said

“I don’t feel like it’s right that I always bombard you with all this information...”

Aaliyah moved closer and leaned in forward.

“You know you can always count me; I am always here”

“See that why I have a problem with how one sided our friendship is. I never hear anything on your end and that’s not goo”

“Simon, like I said, i am good… let’s hear what you have to say”
