NARATION

Nancy smiled as she stood before Pumulo at the entrance of the house, Pumulo was not sure how to act but she quickly spoke breaking the silence.

“lets do this for Jeff… please… let bygones be bygones” Nancy said

Pumulo was not expecting Nancy to say what she did but she smiled and nodded.

“You are welcome.. please come in”

Uncle walked behind and he gave Pumulo a blank look. She really wanted a moment to discuss something important with uncle and was lucky to have it as Nancy right away asked to use the bathroom. Pumulo was quick to redirect Nancy to a guest room which had a private bathroom.

“Thank you so much.. you have a such a comfortable home” Nancy said as Pumulo walked out her room

“Thank you” she replied calmly.

Pumulo walked to the living room and like uncle knew, he sat waiting for her return.

“Uncle” Pumulo said worriedly.

“Don’t worry my daughter, all is well” he said.

“What does she know.. did you tell her everything?” she asked anxiously

“Calm down”

Pumulo sat at the edge of her seat impatiently waiting to hear what uncle would say.

“I told them you were here because of a complication regarding your pregnancy, I can’t say much for now.. there’s a lot we need to deal with. She will know in due time” he said.

Pumulo was not quite pleased but she was relieved that at least everything was going well. Uncle also mentioned that he said nothing about Jeff’s property and that she had to keep up with the lie for a while until the time was right. Somewhat relieved and calm, Pumulo asked uncle to freshen up while she organised something in the kitchen. Aunty was in the bedroom trying not to be part of the drama yet, she was chatting with Pumulo’s uncle. He was recovering and fairing well.

In the kitchen, Pumulo looked around wondering where to start. The kitchen was well built with so may electronics she could not operate. She needed to cook something. Jacinta walked in and grabbed a glass of water, she drunk while leaning against the sink watching Pumulo struggle with the stove. With her temper flaring up, Pumulo turned to look at Jacinta.

“How do I turn on this stove?’ Pumulo asked.

“We don’t use it, we use the one next to it.. the gas stove” Jacinta replied before quickly walking out.

Not knowing what to do again, Pumulo went in search of Jacinta and found her in the laundry room sniffing Jeff’s shirt in a romantic way.

“Come and turn on the gas stove”

Jacinta looked on and then proceeded to start folding Jeff’s clothes.

“I will be coming let me finish what I am doing..”

“I need you to turn on the stove right now!!!” Pumulo demanded angrily
