Enesie broke into tears as she sat on the bed, never in her life had she been so humiliated. Their trip was supposed to last longer but she was now contemplating making it earlier as she was so hurt by June’s statements. That evening Elisha had opted to join them and he seemed welcomed but little did Enesie know how the night would turn out, it was sad that June acted like she didn’t mind Elisha hanging out with them and holding very little conversation with her. However, when they returned home, June hailed a lot of curses and insults at Enesie calling her a desperate lady who had no shame entertaining a man she clearly knew was after her friend. Thandi was disturbed by June’s behaviour but wanted to believe it was just the alcohol at play. While living together in South Africa, Thandi and June had once gotten into a heated argument which had them exchanging words but they soon buried it after realising they both overreacted. This however proved Thandi right, she was never wrong in the first place and June needed to step off her high horse and apologise. June had all along seemed like she had a problem from inception of their evening and so the night ending that way came as no surprise. 

“Sis I am sorry, calm down... Don’t cry... I feel so bad. I blame myself because i introduced you to her and she is my friend i should have done better at controlling her” Thandi said to an inconsolable Enesie.

“I am flying out tomorrow” Enesie insisted.

“You can’t do that, it will be too expensive to change flights like that.. She is drunk and she will come around tomorrow” 

“I am not drunk!!” June shouted from her room

It wasn’t long before she returned and begun yelling on top of her voice calling Enesie a slut.

“Enough!! What is your problem? Why are you behaving like the world revolves around you? What harm did I do? For crying out loud you have had a problem with me from the moment you knew that Elisha knows me... I don’t even know him that well... he liked my friend Thoko... i told you.. Why this embarrassment? To what end June?” 

June was in a white silk bathrobe and a matching bonnet on her head, her face was covered in night cream that all you could see were her lips and eyes. 

“Look who is talking? You think I don’t know? I know your type... you have been sneaky from the get go and yes Elisha was after me and your friend... you have been the under dog all along... You don’t get it? Why were you forcing a conversation with him? I don’t get it? Are you that desperate?”

Enesie swallowed hard as her patience started running out.

Without much thought Thandi grabbed her phone and quickly started looking for a quick accommodation for the night. The only place nearby that popped up was the Glam Milano Hotel. Quickly, Thandi grabbed her handbag and threw in a few things while encouraging Enesie to do the same. It was almost midnight and Thandi prayed under her breath as they rushed to their pick up sent by the hotel outside, she was so mad that she had taken a big chunk of her savings to afford the hotel but she had no other option as the night was unbearable. She had seen June upset before and it was minutes before she started a fight or threw them out. Enesie grabbed her entire suitcase which she never really unpacked and grabbed everything that was hers around and off they left for a much quieter night.
