RENTED LIFE CHAPTER 32
Celine was disgusted by everything Kuni said as she sat next to her in the staff room. They both had no classes and they just sat relaxing and marking mid term test. Kuni had the most expensive engagement ring Celine had ever seen but Celine was not having it. She was so upset that Kuni would be so naïve and go with the flow on this.
“You know what, I think even his parents and his whole family are paid actors because you can not convince me that they would let their son go ahead with this foolishness if they are really not involved”
“No, they are innocent and nice... trust me... they are not what you think they are... I genuinely think they are nice people. Can you imagine they even followed my tradition by respectfully welcoming me into their home... they are Tonga...” “Oh, that explains it... so basically you have accepted to be a sister wife... polygamy is what this is...”
“Come on Celine, it is not what you think...”
Celine went on about her displeasure while Kuni went on admiring her ring, a part of her really wanted to tell Aaliyah and hoped to see her response and that would be the start of the very uncomfortable conversation. That day after class, Kuni stayed in bed crying and praying any chance she got. She had a lot to tell God but could bring herself to be satisfied in prayer. Kuni repeatedly mentioned how she wished it was really her turn and hoped God would take away the frustrations he was already feeling.
A couple of weeks had gone by and Simons parents were still around, Kuni had visited them again and on her last visit, Simon’s mum had suggested they do a lunch date the two of them together. Kuni felt it was a terrible idea but sill told no one about, Kuni had not even said anything to her parents’, they were not anywhere close to hearing that their daughter was actually engaged. Time was moving fast and soon the weekend had come when she would be going out with his mother. Simon picked Kuni up from home when and together they picked his

mum. Mrs. Hazembaa was beautifully clad in a white maxi dress almost matching the one Kuni had on. She was so happy to see Kuni.
“I cannot believe we matched” she repeated herself as Simon drove into the beautiful Ciela resort.
“I know mum... I can’t believe it either” Kuni said.
Simon was quick to open Kunis door and her as she alighted an electric sense of attraction pulled Kuni towards him as they embraced. It was clear there was a serious attraction between them and Kuni could not resist it. However, it was followed by an overwhelming wave of emotions and Kuni pulled away from him immediately. Simon then opened his mum’s door and he let the women go on about their day while he drove off to run other errands. Simon was going to pick them later that in the afternoon. Unknown to them, activities were already booked by Simon and they were starting with a message followed by tea break before they could go on a mini van tour of the property and eventually a bought cruise before lunch.
Mrs. Hazemba was very intentional with all her questions as she interacted with her would be daughter in law. During the spa session. Mrs. Hazemba asked Kuni a very direct question.
“Have you and Simon discussed how many babies you would like to have?” she asked.
Kuni was caught off guard, she was laying on her massage bed wondering what to say, she did not want to lie as she and Simon had not yet had that conversation.
