RENTED LIFE CHAPTER 40

 When Simon returned to the room, Kuni was having her shower, he sat waiting on her with little hope on how all was going to go. She had barely touched her food and he knew she must have been very upset. Kuni returned from the shower and did not look at Simon one bit, she took her clothes to the bathroom and dressed up from there. When she was done, she slipped into slippers and told Simon she was going for a walk outside.

“Can I come?” he asked.

“No I want to be left alone for some time...” she said. “I love you Kuni... I have not said this to ....”

“To Aaliyah?” she interrupted.

“Kuni... I am sorry” Simon said kneeling down.

“Let me get some air before the ceremony...” she said.

Kuni walked out in a floral maxi dress with her hair still styled like the previous night. As she passed, she noticed the staff busy clearing up the banquet hall where they had their reception.

“Good morning Mrs...”

“Mrs. Hazemba...” Kuni completed as she passed on of the managers of the event said.

“Oh I’m sorry can you imagine... I forgot...”

“No it’s understandable...” Kuni smiled.

“How does day two feel as a Mrs....” the woman asked.

“Unreal... I am till pinching myself” Kuni said.

“Well, you will adjust”

Kuni walked to the pool area and lay on one of the benches. Simom could see her form Their room window.

“Gosh I love her... I love her so much...” he said looking through the window. Simon watched her lay there and it looked like she eventually fell asleep.

“Honey... you must be exhausted” Simon said as he approached her.

Kuni stretched herself.

“How long have I been sleeping?” she asked

“I think 30minutes... I thought you might want to have lunch then maybe you can rest in the room. I can leave the room for you if you like...” he said.

Kuni stretched herself again and got up, Simon held her hand and she left him just to avoid the awkwardness around. There was a variety of food to pick from, she was so hungry she could not wait to devour the food. The two ate quietly before returning to the room.

“I am still sleepy” she said.

“You have an hour to rest before we can go.. take your time” he said as he sat on the couch.
